Praia da Barra is practically an extension of Praia da Ferrugem, in the South corner. Separated from its neighbor by a channel of fresh water that empties into the sea and serves as fun for the children – since the sea of the region has strong waters and many waves – this is the favorite of the families. Between the two neighboring beaches, Morro do Sambaqui is located, one of the oldest sambaquis of the state: an old Indian cemetery, where vestiges of stone workshops are also found, where the tribes produced their stone artifacts.
